For a full sit-down dinner with several guests, would you rather be the one cooking or do you prefer to just show up and eat?
I and my girlfriend have so many people over I would think it would be nice that they could cook for us, least once per year. But we are the artists among our cliche, dinner parties are seen as exotic pastime. Too radical for the midwest.
What movement tried to end racial discrimination?
Answer: The civil rights movement
I have to say least on the exam they used the word "tried" vs. another word that would have made the statement rather final. Least in Michigan, we know that there is a backlash to such a movement.
You've noticed that only during Video Art class that I have any time to post? I think having a computer connected to the Internet in front of you might have something do to with it. It beats looking at porn, let me tell ya!
Well, that's not true, I do find some time to post between my Classics class and my Drawing, but what do I have to say about that? Not much.
So I tried to make some Video Art music but it didn't turn out all that well. Maybe I just was not into trying to find rymthen and beat patterns in my enviroment. I know that I'm lazy, but how lazy remains to be seen.
More to come.
I don't understand this push-pull of Financial Aid? They want your to take a certain number of classes, but they only loan you a amount of money that is lower than the cost of the classes.
You have to come up w/ the difference, which is outside of any income that you have to declare. If you declare income you're going to get a hit in what Aid you going to get; they feel that you could use that money in paying for classes. You're using that money for books, supplies, food and rent. That trivial stuff...
If you don't declare you'll be cited by the IRS for tax evasion. Forget that the money that you're using is going for crazy things like books, supplies, food and rent.
I have about two days of Add/Drop and the stress is worse in the scope of money than if I was taking an Accounting or Econ course, which I'm not.
I'm knackered!
The strangest thing about Video Art is this concept that flashing images and quick cuts might be a sign that you're doing something completely wonderful. Forget that you're watching something that under normal conditions would have little informational worth, as a concept of the work is beyond the quality that it's a medium of information. It has it own estche.
Least that's the impression that I got when I was watching a segmented doc on Nam June Paik during my Video Art class. I guess that one could say it's like listening to electronic music, the form kinda grows on you.
